Just ordered my self a copy of S.T.A.L.K.E.R.. This game caught my interest when i read a review some one did on No Mutants Allowed [link] . Even though its been butchered to a degree (No sleep needed, no vehicles, your need to eat toned down, ect.) and its a touch unpolished, it still sound very tasty. You're totally free to roam the huge and open environment. Theirs also still some RPG elements in it, too. Its also got a sort of Post Apocalyptic setting, I'm a sucker for those.

While I'm waiting, I've been playing a browser based Massively-MultiPlayer online role-playing game called Urban dead [link] . Its actually pretty decent, you can be either a survivor (Normal person) or a zombie.

I went to dads yesterday (Visit him roughly once a month) and because its pretty close to my 18th, he gave me some awesome sauce presents. I got a slug firing air-gun which is as powerful as it gets without needing a gun license and it comes with a scope. I also got a pen knife, a framed picture of me beside an F1 car being tuned up and a tent for camping.

And when it comes to the big day, I'm so having a huge Quasar match with friends and family.

Played some D&D with my dad and my big brother, Kes. I took on the role of DM. Sadly, the session was tainted by my jerk of a brother who kept messing around, accusing me of not playing fair and continual attempts at trying to own me.

I watched "DOOM, TEH MOOVEH". I was major displeased with the "resident evil" style bio-hazard as opposed to the unleashing of the hell like in the games. I did like the Carmack reference and also liked it when the guy who "The Rock" plays called the B.F.G the "Big F****** Gun". It also had a scene where the action takes place in 1st person, which was cool. Overall, the film was a bit cheesy but entertaining, though the canon raping lack of hell was a major let down.

Hejamacation and other rubbish.

Just went to an interview yesterday about joining a level 2 engineering course. Fortunately, i got through it with out incidents (Wetting my self, heart attack and the like).
The course is 60% theory & 40% practical, includes both electrical & mechanical engineering and upon successful completion, i can move on to level three.
I have a little taster session coming up, not sure when. I also have to buy some equipment (£60 for uniform and £20 for tools).
I hope i get in. The qualifications needed are four GCSE's at grade E (Got: maths, history, physics and Chemistry), grade D in maths (got) and grade D in English (Don't got, but the interviewer said i may still be able to get in). In a sort of test i had done before hand, i did about GCSE C grade in maths and "A level" standard in English (which is weird, i always thought i was better at maths).

I found some old fun bangs in my room. They are little explosive things which when chucked at a hard surface, create a bang noise. Imagine the nefarious activity's i could get up to with them.

"Spaced" was on TV on Sunday night. If you don't know about it, its an excellent sitcom that has the guy who went on to do "Shaun of the dead" and "Hot fuzz" in it.

Also, i have been reading a online book called "Nuclear War Survival Skills". Its pretty damn interesting and you can read it here [link]

Another one bites the dust

Curses! My head phones have copped out on me, i can longer hear any thing in the left speaker. It lasted for just a few months but it was a reasonable £15 and even had a micro phone on it.

Also, I've been using a free vector tool from Serif called "Draw Plus 4.0". I have used it so i can take a picture I've done, create a neat line art version of it and then colour it in. Its better than using paint because it has layers and also gives a smoother finish on the lines. But my one major gripe with is that it has a very annoying tendency to crash at random. If any one knows of something similar which is no more than £20 ($35), telling me would be much appreciated.

Today also happens to be Mothers 50 th birthday. And my 18 th isn't too far off, think i might have a huge Quazer death match party at the bowling alley.
